Brian C. Ternoey

Brian leads Curcio Webb’s Investment Practice. Brian specializes in the investment aspects of benefit plans and is known for innovative solutions and perceptive analysis. His 30+ years of experience emphasizes devising unique and practical client solutions on such issues as dynamic asset/liability strategies, funding and policy development, custom QDIA funds, class action suits/DOL audit responses, and complex investment structures for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
He has conducted over 300 investment assignments. He has considerable experience across many industries including energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit organizations, pharmaceuticals, retail, telecommunications and transportation.
Brian has authored studies and white papers, including a Society of Actuaries paper forming the basis for Department of Labor Interpretive Bulletin 95-1. He has conducted seminars in Tokyo on DC investment and design alternatives appropriate to Japanese customs in advance of national legislation. Brian graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from St. Louis University with a BS in Mathematics. He is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
